Accommodations

The 54' Bertram had a very lavish accommodation for its time and Tata Way is no exception. The salon has a liberal use of teak for galley counter, lockers, and bulkheads that give the boat a warm and luxurious ambiance. The galley is forward to port, separated from the living area by a partial bulkhead housing the large refrigerator, and a counter providing stowage on the forward side. This boat also has the optional circular bar with three fixed, swiveling stools. The forward counter in the galley accommodates the 3 burner Princess range with oven, twin SS sinks, and drawers for provisions. Forward bulkhead houses the microwave and lots of cabinet stowage.

The main salon includes an L shaped couch to port with coffee table, and the entire starboard side is fitted with lockers, housing AM/FM stereo, TV and wet bar along with ships electrical panels. The entire salon is carpeted and windows fitted with mini-blinds. There is a teak grab rail along centerline of overhead.

Moving forward down the four steps to companionway is a three stateroom/three head layout with master cabin to port with twin berths with built in nightstand between, two hanging lockers and ensuite head with shower. To starboard is the guest cabin with upper and lower berths, hanging locker, and a head with shower and seat. Good ventilation in the head is provided by overhead hatch, an opening port and exhaust fan. Further forward is the V berth area with upper and lower berths and access to the rope locker forward. This cabin has good stowage and two screened opening ports as well as large hatch in overhead. There is also a private head with shower aft to starboard.

The ships air conditioning is a 4 ton, reverse cycle system with separate controls in each cabin.
