Engine Room Main Engines are two Detroit iesel, sixteen cylinders each, developing each 1,200 BHP at 2300 RPM maximum, driving two five blades NIBRAL propellers, through 2:1 ZF reduction gears, model BW255 and 3 1/2" stainless steel shafts. Engine Room is situated to port and starboard aft is painted white. Major Overhaul reported in 2000; hours since overhaul port-135 hours, starboard-138 hours.
