The Gulf 32 is a very well-made vessel by William Garden, known for his focus on excellent quality and the attention put into the Gulf Pilothouse design. There are sailboats of all styles. Some made for racing, some for just cruising but Capitol Yachts saw the need to extend the season. To make a vessel that you could comfortably cruise and enjoy this gorgeous world. William Garden's design was the one. The Gulf 32 hull offers a stable & comfortable ride, making them ideal for long-distance cruising and rougher seas. The open cabin space and the pilothouse design allow you to stay comfortable in all sorts of weather. The wide beam aft has created a large open cockpit, which is fantastic for summer cruising. This is not a fast race boat. She is built for comfort and long distances. With a clean hull she could make 5.5 Knots in a 10 knot wind.

In a 20 knot wind easily 6.6 knots. Handled well under sail. In rough weather below Salt Spring we passed a high tech Catamaran that was struggling in the chop.
