Hi-Star Yachts was established in the 1980s in Taiwan, a major hub for yacht manufacturing at the time. The company focused on producing reliable, semi-custom motor yachts, blending Western design principles with quality Asian shipbuilding craftsmanship. The company placed a strong emphasis on practicality and liveability, featuring wide side decks, large aft decks, and innovative use of interior space. The Hi-Star 44 often features a low-deadrise, modified-V fiberglass hull designed for stable and economical cruising.
